This last week of work has gotten me all caught up on books. I have finished The Monster of Florence, and now starting Driving with Dead People. Thanks Dean, for recommending this book.

A few weekends ago one of my best friends had put on a huge photoshoot at the downstairs bar of Katies in Smithtown. I was a model, bartender, and backstage photographer. Everyone looked AMAZING! My friend Vera was the main photographer who did an killer awesome job! I will post pictures as soon as I get some edited. Below is one of the final party group photo Vera taken towards the end of the shoot. I am wondering if anyone caught Charlie the ghost in any of their pictures at the bar.

Two weekends ago marked my grandparents 60th anniversary. 60 YEARS!!! I cannot believe it! I love my grandparents and think they are one of the most amazing couples I know. My uncle had scanned a bunch of old photographs from my grandparents lives together. I had taken a bunch of them and made a really nice collage in sepia tone. Then made a custom frame for it with their names in Gold. I took pictures but my memory card crapped out on me. So when I see them again I will have to take some more. Other than that, my art lately has been staying in my sketchbook or camera. I have been slacking on my tarot card series, and may need to put that on the back burner until the fall. FRESH, the art group I am a part of, is in the midst of planning their third annual art show at Painters in Bellport this July. More information to come on this soon, promise. Last Saturday, Jimmy and I decided to grab a bottle of wine, drive out east, and picnic on the beach. Well, that was our original intention. While driving towards Riverhead our mini adventure started us at a Gingerbread store in Baiting Hollow. My GPS was telling me I was in Tennessee, no idea why or how, but I ended up getting us a little lost from our original destination. We tasted some samples of Gingerbread and decided to recourse ourselves to the Hummingbird Sanctuary. After hiking a trail straight uphill, we realized the place was closed. While driving back on the main road, we passed by a wine tasting party….and… of course we stopped! It was actually my first time going to a winery where I was over the age of 21. Naturally, we started tasting the many variety of wines that were available…while listening to the band and enjoying the perfect weather.
