This past Friday night I got to listen to the amazing Queen Ansleis play at Pete’s Candy Bar in Brooklyn. It was a very intimate setting, everyone piled into a tiny train car listening to sweet sounds of a voice and guitar. I am glad my friend introduced me to her music because it is one of the sweetest I’ve heard in quite some time.
I had gotten a chance to do a few sketches of her, the ones below are my favorite among the sketches.

i <3 the 70’s
So for my upcoming photo shoot project, I have the great pleasure of shooting one of my favorite bands, The Woolgathering. I am going to be going for an old, vintage type look in a great area on Long Island. They are very colorful people and we have a lot of colorful props that we are going to be using. I had recently done this photo below which is going to have the look I am going for.

stuff to do!!
Hey all! There are a few things I will be going to in the coming weeks. This friday at the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors are 4 hours of rated XXX drawing! The girls of Burning Angel will be the models. I’M STOKED!
Also this weekend is MONSTER MANIA!!! Bruce Campbell from the Evil Deads will be there along with Corey Feldman, Jason Mewes, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre Reunion!!! I’m really excited to meet Corey and Jason again…maybe they will remember me and I can slap Corey’s ass again! hahaha Check out the info for that here.
There is also a battle of the bands called the Long Island Unsigned Unsung Festival going on in Port Jefferson NY March 22nd. My friend’s band STEM is playing so I’ll be there along with Mistress Julia and some other cool cats. Hope to see you guys at one of these!!

love this band!
My buddy Jay told me about them about a year ago…and I fell in love! Then I went to see Juno a week ago and realized that their music and Kimya Dawson’s songs were in the entire movie! Oh yea and when BBQ PARTY comes out on CD you should go download it! hahaha its amazing and Mike Gatto recorded them–so if you like Moldy Peaches, this band is even more amazing! I’ll let you know what the deal is on that soon.
