A few photos of my newest painting in progress. I wanted to show you a few of my works in progress, because I feel sometimes its better to see the process over product. I am expecting this painting to be done in the next few days.
Notice the great studio space.

I was cleaning out my studio (aka spare room) and found a few forgotten drawings, including this one:

I had remembered the model for these drawing, and I remember that day. This drawing is over a year old. Weird that an image can bring back an entire memory of an ordinary day in your life.
On a side note, student teaching is over. Which means I will actually have time to sleep, draw, and relax. I will be picking up more on this blog again too.

Back to the grind. Well, in about a week.
It amazes me how much one month can make a difference in your life. I got a chance to see a lot of people I haven’t seen, and a chance to actually relax and be lazy for once. I also learned how to make an array of drinks thanks to a side bartending job!
I am going to try my hand at making a DIY pinhole lens for my camera. I am in the midst of planning a cross country road trip this summer with someone who loves to travel. These two sentences really don’t go together.
On side note, a good friend of mine who goes by the name of LAST WITNESS is going to be doing a photoshoot in the infamous Mills Pond House in St. James this weekend. Hair did. check. sweet clothes. check. photos to come soon. double check.
O.K. so this is January, and in February I will be in a show with a good friend of mine, Krista Biedenbach at Toast Coffeehouse in Port Jefferson. The theme is a good one, and lots of hearts for the Valentines day month. And, well, love is something I have been really into this past month….so I feel I should express it.
Below is a sketch for an idea on a final image for the show. This is about as much of a preview as you’re gonna get.
Tights are overrated.

Turkey week, which means long break, which means get a ton of work done.
I finished my graphic book, finally! This semester’s almost over and I have 2 big shows coming up as well. The new website is ALMOST done, and I am going to make a goal of getting it up and running by this weekend. Thanks to my buddy Jimmy who more advanced than me at html coding.
Take a look at some of the pages below from the book. You can click on them to view larger images:
